Terroir Supper Club at Hyde Park Wines

Nate Whitley and Rémi Courcenet have teamed up to present locally sourced dinners, served family-style at Hyde Park Wines, just off 13th Street in Boise. We are delighted by their thoughtful menu that creatively incorporates so many ingredients grown at Purple Sage Farms and other local food purveyors.

They’re not afraid to cook with more obscure items like passion flower tendrils or green coriander. These folks know food and love to experiment, plus their hospitality facilitates a lovely evening where the whole table feels at home.

The Super Club recently featured a delicious vegetable aspic, a gelatin loaded with scallion and carrot rounds, topped with green beans, and purslane and watercress, which are commonly considered weeds in Idaho. These succulent plants are fresh and crunchy additions, stem and all. The spicy watercress adds bite and the mild purslane contributes texture and balance.

Terroir also supplies tasty take-home foods like fresh sausage made with Purple Sage Farms dried peppers and herbs. They have sauerkraut, kimchi, BBQ Smoked Pork Shoulder, and an ever changing seasonal selection of artisanal goods. They post weekly availability on their social media and in an email newsletter—we recommend you check it out and support these innovative gourmands.

Rémi shares a glass of wine with a guest, describing the region where it's from.
